Romy

Schwalbe ‒ ROMY, the new tyre for maximum riding pleasure.

Whether uphill or downhill: With the new Romy, Schwalbe is introducing a tyre that makes choosing the right MTB tyre particularly easy. As a versatile all-rounder, the Romy is perfectly suited for trail and all-mountain riding.

Schwalbe is implementing a number of significant changes ahead of the Sea Otter Festival (16–19 April 2026) in Monterey, California. The MTB portfolio has been deliberately streamlined, resulting in the removal of the 25% from the MTB range.

Romy in her element.

Which version is the right one depends on the intended use:

TRAIL.

For classic trails, the TRAIL version is the best choice. It impresses with good grip and reliable puncture protection at an excellent price-performance ratio. A unique selling point in the market!

GRAVITY PRO.

For bikes that are more gravity-oriented, for more downhill riding, and for plenty of stability, the GRAVITY PRO ROMY is recommended.

TRAIL PRO.

Compared to the TRAIL version, the TRAIL PRO offers even greater puncture protection at a lower weight. The TRAIL PRO is also equipped with the proven Schwalbe APEX. This additional fabric-reinforced protection insert improves stability and significantly increases puncture protection – with no extra weight.

RACE PRO.

The Romy in the RACE-PRO version is particularly well-suited for the rear wheel of an enduro bike when the focus is on even lower weight and optimal rolling characteristics.

Various versions.

The Romy is the first tyre that Schwalbe has also offered in a radial version in 2.4 inches, after the first tyres, Albert and Shredda, had been introduced in 2.5 and 2.6 inches. This means that mountain bikers have a choice between two carcass constructions with the Romy:

RADIAL.

Flexible casing with a larger contact area for more grip, safety and damping. Ideal for the most demanding routes.

DIAGONAL.

Flexible frame construction with a robust build for direct handling and high stability. Ideal for sporty and versatile uses.
